October 10, 2018 (Edmonton) – On behalf of the Alberta Party Caucus, MLA Greg Clark is wishing Albertans a mindful world mental health day.

“World Mental Health Day is about raising awareness for mental health supports and ensuring that our governments continue to support our health system to deploy these whenever needed and to ensure that we make mental health supports as accessible as possible.”

“As the Critic for Mental Health from our Caucus, I want us to all remember that we can never tell when someone is in need, there is no visible tell all sign that people have. We need to continue to check in on our friends and family members and make sure that we do give them the space that they need, and to be supportive in meaningful ways to our friends and loved ones. Today is the day for us to all affirm our commitment to doing this for our communities and for ourselves.”

“For too long we have ignored mental wellness, and now our society is slowly beginning to accept that it is okay to not be okay.”

“On behalf of the Alberta Party Caucus I want Albertans to know that our Caucus and our members are working for you today, and every day to ensure that we all have the supports that we need and that mental health is never put on the backburner again.”
