March 7, 2018 (Edmonton) – In preparation for the spring sitting of the legislature, the Alberta Party caucus has shuffled its house leadership. MLA Rick Fraser has been selected as the new caucus leader and MLA Greg Clark will serve as house leader.
“I’m honoured to have been entrusted by my colleagues in caucus and by Mr. Mandel to serve as leader in the legislature,” Fraser said, “it is my hope that my experience as a legislator can help us capitalize on our increased presence in the house.”
Fraser stressed that the Alberta Party caucus will continue to approach issues in a collaborative fashion. The diverse backgrounds and talents that each MLA brings to the table makes for stronger policy that better reflects the diverse concerns of Albertans.
Clark’s appointment as house leader recognizes the excellent work that he has done in the legislature.
Regarding his new position as house leader, Clark said “The past few months have shown that the values of the Alberta Party are resonating with Albertans, and I’m thrilled to be part of the important work we are doing at the legislature”
