October 27, 2018 (Edmonton) – On behalf of the Alberta Party Caucus, MLA Greg Clark is denouncing the hate filled attacks on a Jewish congregation.

“Today a shooter entered a house of prayer in Pittsburgh and screamed anti-semitic slurs then started to open fire at members of the congregation who had gathered to celebrate the weekly sabbath morning prayers. This terrifying incident reminds us yet again that anti-semitism remains a serious threat to Jewish communities and our society at large.”

“Today is day for all of us as Albertans to come together and to be with our loved ones sending thoughts and prayers to Pittsburgh and to the Tree of Life Synagogue congregation.”

“Today, Albertans stand shoulder to shoulder with their Jewish neighbours and denounce this act of hatred. There is no place anywhere for this terrible, hate filled attitude, and actions”.

“So to the Jewish community in Alberta, that we as an Alberta Party Caucus will continue to fight against anti-semitism and against the hatred that exists in our province. “
