Edmonton (April 18, 2017) Alberta Party leader Greg Clark issued the following statement:

“Changes to Alberta’s Employment Standards and Labour Code will have a far-reaching impact. The government’s short window for consultation creates the impression the NDP have already decided what changes they want to make, and this consultation is just window dressing. The time between the close of this brief consultation and the likely introduction of legislation tells me they’ve already started writing the bill without considering the input of all stakeholders, including business and not-for-profits.  The NDP need to govern for all Albertans. Rushing through changes to labour legislation without adequate consultation tells me they’re governing with a pre-set agenda.”
